Reason / Defects: If overloaded, the carbon Base Bar and Handlebar/Stem can crack. Hazards: If the Base Bar or Handlebar/Stem breaks, the rider could lose control of the bicycle and fall, leading to serious injury. What to do: Consumers should immediately stop using bicycles installed with the affected Base Bars and Handlebar/Stems. Consumers can contact an authorised Trek retailer to make an appointment for a replacement Base Bar or Handlebar/Stem, when available.
