Reason / Defects: The battery housing may develop cracks or gaps, allowing water to leak into the compartment and the battery to short-circuit, which could cause it to catch fire. Hazards: There is a risk of injury from burns if the battery short-circuits and catches fire. What to do: Stop using the bike immediately. Contact Canyon to receive instructions on how to dispose the battery and arrange for a free replacement.
