TranslatedReason / Defects: Due to a manufacturing defect, the affected brake discs may be missing rivets and cause the car to skid during braking or brake over a longer distance. Hazards: Risk of serious injury or death to car occupants or pedestrians if the brakes do not operate effectively when the vehicle is required to stop abruptly or during an accident. What to do: If you have a BMW, Alpina and Toyota vehicle from MY2001- MY2022 and your disc brakes were replaced by one of the service centres on the list of service centres, stop using your vehicle immediately and contact the vehicle service centre or garage to find out if your brakes are affected.
