Reason / Defects: Due to improper programming of the Airbag Control Unit (ACU), there is a possibility that the driver, passenger airbags and seat belt pretensioners could inadvertently deploy without impact. Hazards: If the airbag is deactivated or is inadvertently activated, this increases the risk of an accident and injury to the vehicle occupants and other road users. What to do: Hyundai Motor Company Australia will notify affected owners in writing to bring their vehicle to an authorised Hyundai dealership and have the airbag control module reprogrammed, free of charge.
