The product does not comply with the requirements of the mandatory standard 'Consumer Protection Notice No. 2 of 2009 - Consumer Product Safety Standard: Flotation Toys and Aquatic Toys'. The product does not have a non-return air valve and the appropriate warning labels do not appear on the product.
Product Description & Identification
Reason / Defects: The product does not comply with the requirements of the mandatory standard 'Consumer Protection Notice No. 2 of 2009 - Consumer Product Safety Standard: Flotation Toys and Aquatic Toys'. The product does not have a non-return air valve and the appropriate warning labels do not appear on the product. Hazards: In the absence of a non-return air valve and required labelling, air may escape from the product at too fast a rate and users may not be aware of important safety information about the use of the product (i.e. only use under supervision). There is potentially an increased risk of drowning if the product deflates or is not used as intended. What to do: Consumers should immediately stop using the product and return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
