Reason / Defects: The backplate of the firebox may not be sufficiently secured. If dislodged, heat may be released to the back of the unit and start a fire. Hazards: There is risk of fire, serious injury or death and/or damage to property if the backplate of the stove’s firebox fails to control the temperature at the rear. What to do: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled products. Consumers should contact Esse to arrange free replacement of the backplate.
