Reason / Defects: The retaining nut that is designed to prevent the boat’s steering cable from detaching from the boat’s rudder block may fail. Hazards: If the retaining nut fails, this could lead to a loss of steering control of the boat. Steering loss may cause an accident, resulting in death or injury to the boat occupants or bystanders. What to do: Consumers should contact their closest Malibu Boats dealer to arrange for repair, free of charge. Consumers should not use the boat until it has been repaired.
