Reason / Defects: A component of the insulating resin in the DC Plug may cause the Adapter to overheat, melt, smoke or ignite. Hazards: If the Adapter overheats this may cause harmful smoke or odours, or an electrical fire, increasing the risk of injury or death. What to do: Consumers should stop using the product and unplug it from the wall socket. For instructions on how to identify whether a product is affected by this recall, consumers can visit https://www.epson.com.au/product_notices/scanner_notice.asp Affected consumers can contact Epson on its toll-free number 1300 059 685 (9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday AEST) to arrange for a replacement adapter.
