Button batteries also pose a choking hazard to young children. What to do: If consumers have a key light, it should be destroyed immediately in a secure manner. If preferred, the light may be returned to Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service where arrangements will be made for it to be securely destroyed. After disposal, consumers should notify Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service, so that the safe disposal of the products can be monitored.
