Reason / Defects: Due to a manufacturing fault, the clamp that holds the throttle shaft in place on the tiller handle may be missing. Hazards: If the throttle shaft clamp is missing, there may be a loss of throttle control with the engine slowing to idle, increasing the risk of an accident and injury. What to do: Consumers should stop using their boat and contact an authorised Mercury Marine outboard dealer to schedule a service appointment, mentioning Mercury Outboard Service Bulletin 20-06.
