WASHINGTON, JULY 23, 2026 - BCI Foods, Inc., the importer of record located in Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec, Canada, is recalling approximately 4,300 pounds of a chicken noodle soup product that was imported from Canada without the benefit of import reinspection into the United States, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today. The canned condensed chicken noodle soup product was produced on February 4, 2026. The following product is subject to recall [view labels ]: 10.5-oz can of "tasty KITCHEN Chicken Noodle Condensed Soup PRODUCT OF CANADA" with best by date of "2028 FE 04" and lot code "5 9 2 26 035" The product subject to recall bears Canadian establishment number "EST. 142" printed on the can. This item was further distributed to food banks and food pantry locations in Oklahoma. The problem was discovered when the firm notified FSIS that the canned chicken soup product imported from Canada was not presented for FSIS import reinspection. There have been no confirmed reports of illness or injury due to consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about an illness or injury should contact a healthcare provider. FSIS is concerned that some product may be in consumers' pantries. Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
