Consumers should immediately stop using the heating function of the recalled PTACs and contact Applied Comfort to schedule a service call as soon as possible. To reduce the risk while waiting for the unit to be serviced, consumers should ensure the discharge grills and/or ducts are not blocked, in order to allow air to freely discharge from the unit. For more information, consumers can contact Applied Comfort Products Carver Inc. by telephone 1-877-227-7822 Option 3 from Monday to Friday 8am-4pm EST, and by email at recall@carver-na.com.Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada.Health Canada would like to remind Canadians to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form(https://www.canada.ca/en/health-canada/services/consumer-product-safety/advisories-warnings-recalls/report-incident-involving-consumer-product.html).This recall is also posted on the OECD Global Portal on Product Recalls website (http://globalrecalls.oecd.org/).
