Reason / Defects: The grease inside the coaster brakes does not adequately lubricate the surface, which could cause the brakes to wear faster and damage the brakes. Hazards: Risk of accident and serious injury if the brakes fail during use and causes a fall. What to do: Stop using the affected Trek Precaliber bicycles and service wheels immediately. To determine if your bicycle is included in this recall, enter your bicycle’s serial number in the look-up tool at https://www.trekbikes.com/au/en_AU/coasterbrake-recall-inquiry/ Your bicycle’s serial number begins with WTU and is located on the bottom bracket near the crankset (located underneath the bicycle near the pedals). If you are unsure whether your bicycle is affected by this recall, please contact your local Trek retailer. Take the bicycle to your nearest Trek retailer to be inspected.
